Evidently they were 9 miles away, and our technology over there pinpointed them quickly.... 9 miles....wonder if that report is accurate?

9 miles is too far to launch any mortar round I know of. I bet they meant 9 km.
Regardless, our new generation counter battery radar is excellent at pin-pointing such locations.
