Mapics DOES have that big IBM AS/400 existing base going for it,
as you say, and you may be right that it may carry them for a couple
of years. Problem is, the move is on to the Windows/NT--Intel
platform, and that's where M.SOLUTIONS is positioned. Long-term,
SOLUTIONS will ascend, and MAPICS will gradually descend.
You may be right about the short/medium term - that IS an awfully
BIG base of AS/400 sites!! If you were putting away $25K for your
son's retirement, which way would you go? Take care, Jack.
