There are reasons to support affirmative action and reasons to abolish it. The facts clearly show that there has been and continues to be racial discrimination. Whether the scales have been adequately re-balanced, is a matter of judgment. This issue is well on its way to the Supreme Court and whatever that outcome, it will still not be settled. This topic, along with others like it (abortion for example), are not welcome reads on this thread I would think. There are plenty of moral arguments on both sides of these types of issues; none us with an opinion on any of these is likely to make friends by discussing them. Everyone is easily misinterpreted, whatever their moral stance. When you play in the mud, everyone gets dirty. Enough said.
