Dept of Homeland Security has released a short new booklet on preparedness for homeowners. I've read it once.

Plastic sheeting is mentioned 4x. Duct tape 3x.
I found one typo, a missing word.
I laughed.

Four of the five critical errors I found, and reported to NSA, in the first booklet have been eliminated by not addressing the subjects. The fifth was changed to eliminate the error.

They continue to say (in one case) and insinuate (in others) the authorities will not be able to advise you promptly and you must decide your course of action.

My suggestion that folks be advised to learn their child's school's emergency evacuation plan has been added.

All that aside, in my opinion the booklet has no meat and is worth just as much as the Homeland Security color code.

I do recommend spending a few minutes reading it for two reasons. It is always good to know what the masses are doing and thinking and the references on the last page are worthwhile researching if you really want to learn how to be prepared to survive a terrorist attack.

The documents default font size is about 6. I guess they don't want old folks to know what to do.
