One of my sisters had an intense job as head of corporate training with a national software company...TONS of travel, and LONG hours. She made good money. But it got to be such a hassle, that she ended up retiring early. Then one day after a couple of years of golf and fun in the sun, and because the market went to you know where so their retirement incomes were diminished...she wanted a no brainer job. Went to work at a car dealership (VERY nice place and VERY VERY nice cars....) as receptionist. As she worked and took on more and more "stuff", she finally told them she wanted a raise if she was going to do all that "stuff".... They KNEW how much they had loaded on the plate, plus knew the switchboard was incredibly busy (over 1000 calls a day!).... She got a huge raise....now twice... BUT she's so busy she doesn't have much time for golf anymore. She's going to rethink her priorities. She really likes the people she works with, and the customers who come in, but has not much spare time to do much of anything else but work....
