Early news reports say somewhere between 60 and 70 percent of Iraqi voters turned out and voted.

Even from the Boston Globe, they have to admit it (although they soft pedal it with the phrase:

"Iraqi officials said turnout among the 14 million eligible Iraqi voters appeared higher than the 57 percent that had been predicted, although it would be some time before any turnout figure was confirmed."

[If it had been an election they supported, they would have screamed out the 60-70% estimates on page one, and left any corrections for page 8 in 3 or 4 days.]
