The sand and gravel business is probably not well understood or liked by the average speculator of flakey little gold juniors, but it's big steady business, major bucks, and the Caroni opens right into the lower Orinoco and directly to the sea, so the whole Caribbean market is right there [and a lot closer than Shanghai-g-] ... not too many big rivers on those little islands, so they won't have much of their own alluvial deposits ... but the gold is the thing, and if those gyppo dredges were working there for years skimming off the top layers at thirty per cent efficiency, and making enough that they got pissed off at losing the concessions, then there would seem to be gold there
'Last night I found a document from them on the project prepared in 1999.'
Yeah i've got one of them too -g- ... ah it all looked so easy then, but between the PoG and local politics, here we are six years later
Right now i think the question of how they are going to finance the project is weighing on the market, that's why while it's true there's no selling, there's no buying to speak of either .... notice how Claude's first question was on capex ... if they go the JV route that could be good or bad, depending on what sort of deal they make, and whether Ms Market likes it or not ... needs some definition here, and it sounds like it's on the way
Getting rid of the dot H should liven things up
SI was down Wednesday night, that never happens, bit of a shock when it does .... well now if Zenda got up to say half the recent performance of Cadre, i'd be a better percentage of happy -g- .... cheers |
