I made a lot of money on ASKJ and sort of follow some of the search engines. No longer in ASKJ and I sold too early, but loaded up at a buck and under. I've started to wonder whether any will survive beyond google, yahoo, and MSN. ASKJ has developed a niche.

I watch with interest the others that pop up like mama, shgy and they all have their fans, claiming they are the next google.

This area seemst to be an area of habit so it won't matter if a search engine has a different format, but who knows. What I mean is that most of us by habit use a search engine and rarely try any new one.

What makes answers.com an engine that will take off?

It's got a 60 million market cap

Any revenues?
