Well, Flash may can be disabled within IE with navigation through Tools, Internet Options, and Security...

Also, items on the Start Menu can just be dragged off to the Recycle bin instead of deleted in the folder structure...

Now to clear the Documents menu, right-click XP Start, click Properties, click Customize, and click Clear. Problems ? Well when Clear is clicked the first item of Advanced Start Menu Options highlights and that doesn't seem right. In fact when XP needs a re-boot one place it shows up is clunky operation of the Document menu clear...

Re-boots ? Well, when W'ndows went from NT 4 to Win 2000 the lines of code went from something like 8 million to 30 million and critics howled. Of course XP is based on Win 2000 and MS has certainly not taken a lean and fast strategy against the emergence of L'nux...

However I wonder if XP is packed with AI ? For instance it might keep logs of problems and operation and adjust to the required application...

Finally, I find more and more programs that automatically check for updates. I had to agree to license terms of one program just to be able to disable the automatic update...but after taking the license terms I also had to disable the Taskbar icon placement.
