I was in the 581st ambulance company which did a lot of people transport for 2nd General Hospital Landstuhl, Germany. When Rhein-Main Air Base was shut down for repairs our ambulances were going to Frankfort for pick ups. I noticed the dopers got all the runs to Frankfort. Our CO and First Sgt. were taking a cut for the dope hauled. They did a locker search at 2nd Gen and found over $300k of dope and this was 1970.

I spent two months living in the BOQ and could cut the dope smoke with a knife and fry it for supper.
