zofsilence...your quote though I might argue about whether or not they understand what it means It's posts like this that convince me that liberals are so incredibly false in their public posture of caring for the people of the world. You dismiss the intelligence of the Iraqi people with one flippant comment. You think Iraqis who risked their lives to vote don't understand what democracy means? You think they don't feel it in their gut when they mark that ballot and know that they have exercised a freedom as fundamental as breathing air? Again, your true colors are showing and I'm not surprised to find that the ignorance and arrogance of the liberal left knows no bounds. John was arguing on these threads just a few weeks ago that we Americans were "imposing" democracy on the Iraqis. What dogshit. The Iraqis looked death itself in the face just for the chance to reach out and grab democracy with both hands. The freedom and right to vote for your leader is no more an imposition than the right to breath and the Iraqis have proven that once and for all. Take your bitter pill and swallow it. There's more to come.
