Your report mixes up herbicides and pesticides. First for weeds and the second for bugs.

The increase in overall pounds of pesticides applied across the three crops is due mainly to the need to apply more herbicides per acre planted to HT soybeans.

Roundup ready beans don't need any other herbicide and Roundup breaks up more quickly than other bean herbicides therefore doesn't pollute as much.
