I think an ORDERLY withdrawal should occur. In 2,005 we certainly can withdraw the extra troops we had there for the election, but after that I think we should only withdraw as we find Iraqi troops trained AND EQUIPPED sufficiently to replace. I would hate to see a backward shuffle after we have come so far and given so much. IMHO Americans will be happy so long as they can see A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. This means to me that Iraq is going to have to have far larger force then I have heard discussed in the past. I would think they need at least 500,000 Police, army and National Guard total to secure that place. For one thing IMHO they absolutely MUST secure their borders, no easy task. jdn
