Elections in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine highlight the fast pace of global changes we are witnessing within Islamic hinterland. Freedom wining over tyranny was the goal; successful Iraqi mass elections exactly depicted that. Nice to see mass participation from over 70 percent voters in all the three cases, the populace is not tired of freedom; ironically it is the free world liberals who want to limit this choice to mass demonstrations along Parisian promenades and Hyde Park corners, I have always enjoyed these gutsy display of bravado in free society where Bush is termed as killer and war criminal; I for eternity have wondered when one day a small beginning may help flourish some offshoots of freedom in Muslim lands, to talk about freedom and human rights is one thing to ensure them for millions needs a lot of blood sweat and tears. Path to vote is more difficult than pontificating and cigar filled rooms discussions, democracy in its infancy is weak, fledgling and more of the than not finds its beginning very excruciating on nation that tries to adopt the change.
