I've given up trying to explain the concept behind the Coffee shop or SI in general.

It is unexplainable, isn't it? One of those "do it to understand it" things. Most people are either totally blank when you bring it up, or think it is some type of juvenile posting place. I suspect the ones that act this way go to the on-line sex chat rooms.
