Well an argument could be made that you can have your freedom of conscience and just not take the benefits, no one is being jailed or shot for their conscience in this case. OTOH I still don't support the action of the German government (or the government of the laander or city if it isn't a national level decision) in this case. The government shouldn't base benefit decisions on whether or not someone is willing to work as a prostitute. And the fact that some job is legal should not mean that in every way the government should have to treat it just like any other job.
