Fred, If you want a good book on options get "Options as a Strategic Investment" by Lawrence MacMillan. Don't waste your money on any other options books. This is known as the bible of options and covers just about everything you could ever want to know. I am in the process of reading it and have learned quite alot. Most people lose money in options because they do not understand how options really work. This is a very complex topic but on the surface appears fairly straightforward. They buy the lowest priced options which usually are out of the money and have the closest expiration date. I am no expert in this topic and am still learning but this book has helped me alot in the few profitable options transactions I have completed to date. I only use options as an alternative in companies I know very well.
