O.K, How is America more free than Canada? Examples please.

I've already mentioned two major ones. 1 - We have lower taxes. 2 - We don't have an enforced single payer health care system.

Note that even if the single payer health care system and the higher taxes to support it and other programs are a good thing (a debatable idea to be sure but one that I am not specifically challenging in this post), they would still be examples of reduced freedom. You are forced to pay over more of your money to the government, that is the opposite of freedom. You can't privately provide insurance in the areas where the government single payer system is active, nor can you be insured by private insurance in those areas. Those restrictions are also a reduction in freedom.

Other then those two things the difference would be smaller, and there would be reasonable arguments on both sides, but those two things are big, or at least big when you are comparing differences between Canada and the US, two countries that after all are rather free. On an overall scale comparing all countries the US and Canada would be pretty close to each other, and the difference in taxes, health insurance laws, ect. Would not be so huge, but if you just focus on the US and Canada and the difference between them, the taxes and health care insurance laws are probably the biggest differences in the level of relative freedom between the two countries.
