I pay my credit card bills electronically. It resolves this problem. I get e notification when statement is ready. Go to website and tell them how much and what date I want to pay and walla. You may want to look into it as it really is much easier and cuts out the dilemma of possibly paying late.

Mine gets paid automatically every month without my having to do anything. Doesn't require any awareness at all from me. That's even better from my POV.
