You seem to be taking some guff from some here that borders on personal attack. Living in Boston, most of my friends are liberals. I routinely have spirited, lively, informed political discussions with them and then, after, we still remain friends. I respect their opinions, and they seem to moderate at times when I point out hypocrisies or inconsistencies. And sometimes, albeit rarely, they convince me of something. That's the way political dialog between friendly combatants should work, IMO.
That kind of exchange is not happening on this thread. Here, the moderator is not only tightly policing the thread, but she is also the primary purveyor of leftist propaganda here. Even though X has me on ignore, and can be quite disingenuous at times, she at least presents reasonable arguments for many of her positions. And her positions are not all knee-jerk left, like some of the others here. But Grainne has dug in and seems unwilling to give an inch, on anything politic. It's no surprise the banned posters are all conservatives, even though some of the liberals still posting here have violated the same thread rules.
And there is no levity here. That's one of the reasons I'm not willing to invest time here making points. Really, why bother?
