The same dumbass argument that was used in centuries past to 'prove' that African Americans were genetically intellectually inferior to other races. Hitler used the same argument to 'prove' that the Slavic peoples were 'subhuman'. Recently, the same dumbass argument was used to 'prove' that African Americans were genetically superior (and thus, allow other racist genetic arguments) by pointing to the NBA and the high percent of black players. Yet, in recent years, more and more 'genetically inferior' players from Eastern Europe are appearing. Maybe your dumbass author will try to argue that the same gene 'jumped' to Eastern Europe. Racists attempt to legitimize their racism by making these dumbass genetic arguments by conveniently dismissing the important factors of culture and economics. There are more black NBA players because culture and economics steer the best young black athletes to basketball and football, whereas those same factors push young white athletes into a large variety of sports. Now that the same culture/economic factors that steer blacks into basketball have emerged in Eastern Europe, lo and behold, there are more Eastern Europeans in the NBA. Women are genetically inferior in Math and Science? Balderdash. I have a degree in Math, and have worked in Computer Science for 25+ years. Some of the best minds I worked with were women. Social and economic issues are definitely a factor in lower female participation in Computer Science, but genetics? That's Shockley crap... The reason that Summers was correctly bashed was that there is not a single bit of scientific evidence to support his 'theory', even after decades of research by racists looking for justification of their hatred. But, in an era where 'Creationism' can be deemed a 'science', I guess science is just obsolete.
