It's always amazing to see how many leftwingers 'dump' on business, want high taxes, and then whine when there isn't enough business to employ people! I've never understood that. I started and owned my own business for over 20 years, and know firsthand how difficult it is...

Most people don't understand, and IMO, don't want to understand, that profit isn't an obscene word. Those same people don't understand that if a business has a 3-4% profit, they've done quite well. Employees are very expensive, and the benefit requirements add on another 30-50%+ to that cost. I think things would change if every person was trained from early age forward what having their own business would require of them. They would have a MUCH better understanding of how to be a good employee, and how someday, they might be able to have their own business.

A good start is for would-be employees to ask themselves...."Why should a company hire me...?"
