So, are you asserting that women are somehow 'math short-circuited' unless they are Asian? LOL.

I've known many women of many cultures and ethnic background...Asian, East Indian, African, Russian...who have possessed superior technical minds. The difference is not genetic but cultural; in the US, from almost the beginning of education, science and math have been seen as something that only nerds get into. This cultural bias drives most women (and a good number of men) away. It is one of the reasons that the US is falling behind in the technical sciences. We import many of our top engineering minds from other countries, where science and math are seen as important career paths.

To assert that women (well, I guess only non-Asian women...LOL) are somehow wired in a way that makes science and math more difficult for them is a kind of racism - sexism. It ignores the scientific evidence that, in other countries where math and science have less of a social stigma for women, women are employed in greater numbers. It will probably never be 50/50 because many capable women choose to raise children exclusively - a simple fact of life. Nothing to do with genetics.

When the racists stop pointing to genetics and start pointing to the REAL causes for these demographics, maybe they'll finally see the light...
