While your impulse is understandable, you missed comments by people who would censor not only investor bulletin boards but companies'
IR departments as well.
Broadly generalized: some investment professionals feel threatened
by investor threads, because it detracts from their guru status.

I believe there ARE instances where certain stocks reach higher
highs or lower lows because of investor online discussions.
So what? There are many more cases where excesses in stock prices
are curbed because of free dissemination of information on our threads.

The most valuable property of online discussion is that it makes
us realize that the emperor (read 'investment guru') has no clothes.
