OH, look out, Ramsey has reared his head! Catching the rabble's babbles. Okay, I won't say more on causal relationships related to skin colour, but it is important that governments concentrate on their primary purpose, which is to defend individuals against robbery, fraud, aggression and assault by baddies from within or outside the country. NOT to nick off with one group's efforts to fund a privileged few, thereby becoming the very baddy we fear.

So, when Lucent says in TAG reporter that Qualcomm can't expect to get royalties from their intellectual property, it is seriously worrying. Surely this cannot be a serious comment, though it seems to be a threatened approach by Motorola, who have in fact already stolen part of a phone, Ericsson and now Lucent.

While cdmaOne is an international standard, it does not mean that the many aspects of physical and intellectual property supporting that standard are for anyone to steal. The suggestion seems to be from Lucent that Qualcomm should provide its intellectual property for no charge. Or that there should be some very low charge set, contrary to the negotiated prices for use of Qualcomm's property.

Morality and civilisation did not happen by a fluke. If Lucent do not like their agreement for use of Qualcomm's property, they should not have made it. It should not take a very great stretch of imagination to understand that if property is confiscated, then the production of that property will decline since people are not rewarded for their efforts.

The USSR system was based on confiscatory approaches to benefit "the community". Well, it took them a while, but they ran out of steam. It is not a fun way of life to live in the midst of takers rather than producers. There are many countries you can sample for the misery of that approach.

There is also no lower limit. Things can always get worse.

So Ramsey, you better wander down to Qualcomm and ask them to ask Al Gore to ask Bill C. to polish his military, police and judiciary fist to keep Lucent in line. If they don't, you will not have the income to pay taxes to fund their continued operations. The USA did not get where it is by stealing too much from the producers of the wealth.

Some in this stream have disparaged the royalty stream as relatively insignificant to Qualcomm. I suggest you recount as Motorola, Ericsson and Lucent obviously have done. There are mega monies depending on enforcement of civilisation.

IKM, my point was that simply because top basketball players, rap people, boxers, sprinters are nearly all sun-safe does not mean you can conclude the sun-safe mode is the cause of their skills. They should not be hired simply because they are sun-safe. Similarly, affirmative action programs for sun-safe people with that being the only qualifier do not in any way help those who they are really intended to help. The correlation between sun-safe and the need for protection and help is too weak to be relevant.

Maybe there is a statistical correlation between sun-safe and "rhythm" [sic], but I doubt that. Even if there really is such a correlation, so what. These things are all individual functions. Individuals possess their own special little DNA package, not anyone else.

Qualcomm must believe there is a correlation between sun-safe and ability in CDMA since they are advertising at the beach. They know they won't find blond Swedes there! They know they wouldn't have a clue. Hahahaha!!

But the central point was that our brains are NOT sun-safe, nor PCS safe! Do not lose sight of what we are really talking about. Ramsey has noticed the damage already and I don't have a cellphone so it must be "passive-RFing" getting me.

And what on earth has all of this to do with dwarves and murder? Good grief. I'm sure there was a point. Please don't explain Sherman.
