I claim the main reason it needs reforming (by a good mile) is the accounting scam regarding SS funds and the general fund. Why you maintain that this is nonexistent is utterly beyond me.

I'm not sure you have understood me. I agree there is an accounting scam. The scam, or at least a misunderstanding that many people have and which the government supports, is the idea that the government has some fund to pay future retirees when the net value of the fund to the government is zero.
