First of all congress does not care. Arnold Schwartzenager does not care. He is led around by big insurance and big Pharmacy.

for example. Monies earmarked to pay for injured workers in texas and arizona was taken by 'general funds.' (big money) The state of arizona was actually sued and lost saying it was illegal to take monies that were set aside to pay for injured workers.

California is trying to have 'private insurance' pick up the tab on about 10 percent of workers' compensatioon injuries. and that is written right in SB 899. (why not make it 50 percrent)

To me it's not a matter of congress or Arnold Schwartzenager trying to do the right thing. It's a matter of special interest like big insurance basically deciding not to pay for anything. and there is essentially no checks and balances to stop them. (a small practicioner doesn't have the time nor resources, (let alone energy) to fight.)

Big Pharmacy is like a big spinning top out of control. Because if the public suddenly decides they don't want to take all these pills that cause you heart attacks and strokes and make you edgy with high blood pressure. What are they going to do if their credibility suddenly is exposed.

If you really want to cut medical costs. and i'm being sarcastic here. but stop paying for drug research. stop paying for federal monies to fight medical marijuana.(i could care less) start prescribing 4 dollar chinese herbal medicine and tea for your ailment. and an f18 and apache helicopter in every driveway will make somebody rich.

where do the monies really go...??? they may go to a quarter million dollar surgery...for an injured worker....after a worker has held out for 5 years doing nothing and luded out on vicodin...(now that's not really a life...if u ask me.)
