Watch List & Question/Request 9/3:

I'm not sure if many people are still reading this thread, and was wondering if I should stop. I talk to myself all the time, so it isn't that. I don't see much posting traffic lately, but if its just a lot of strong, silent types, then I will stay with it. Post a salutation if you don't mind. If its only a few I could just email it to you.

I've also created a fairly straightforward Overbought/Oversold (OB/OS) oscillator that runs in Excel with a little macro for importing and sorting the data. I did it on a Mac one night, so as soon as I port it over to the PC (in a week or so), I will email it to whoever wants it. Since I don't get daily quotes for every ticker, I use it to input some high, low and close data for three of the last seven days and it indicates an OB/OS condition. Its actually a simplified (linear) version of the range expansion indicator I use in the net that I 'splained earlier. But, if you don't have technical analysis software or daily quote downloads (or do have MetaStock (PC) or ProTA (Mac) and export to an Excel formatted file), its pretty handy. Its based on T. DeMarks 'Price Oscillator Qualifier' trigger mechanism in his book New Market Timing Techniques....a truely mind-numbing read....and, no, I didn't buy it, I read it in Borders one day during lunch.

Watch List

A whole bunch of tickers came up tonight with strong watch signals, and many were repeats. The net filters (or tries) single day instances like today's big jump. Be that as it may, the new ones are:

ANDW 26.25
BGEN 39.812
BORL 9.25
CU 24.75
CUBE 32.50
GADZ 20.062
MRK 95.687
SUNW 51.062

I'm still long on CPQ, DIMD, FRTE, NCTI, NETG, NSCP, QCOM, and UCMP, although some of those are closing in on my strike price, but tomorrow should tell.
