Have you noticed amid all the denunciations of Saddam Hussein's crimes - real and imagined -- his greatest crime is never mentioned.

That was his 1980 invasion of Iran which the US supported by all means short of direct intervention. That 8 year war cost the lives of around a million Iranians and Iraqis.

But since the US supported this attack it cannot by definition be a crime.
