I think AAPL will correct here, but I would rather short a stock that's in a downtrend than a stock that's in an uptrend. And shorting a very strong stock in a very stong uptrend gives a risk/return profile that is unacceptable IMHO.

AAPL hasn't been oversold in almost a year and makes only rare and fleeting appearances in the lower channel of the BBs. There is simply too much risk that the freight train will reverse and turn on you with a vengeance, and not a lot of reason to believe downside momentum will be likely to give enough profit to compensate for taking on that risk.

There are zillions of less risky shorts out there in this market climate.
