nahh, he's just an interesting guy. he won't be able to deliver any LONG TERM edge to sun micro in servers. That really isn't possible in this world of standardized components. And, a very slight edge, albeit temporary, in a server computer isn't going to make or break sun micro with its horrid problem of having to replace high cost systems with low cost ones. The problem really was set in GRANITE years ago when McNealy stubbornly kept to a go it alone approach, that left him years behind in the race to get IT customers the products they WANT TO BUY. In any event, the new boxes will inevitably send SPARC (they do still acknowledge this product exists, don't they?) to the trash heap compost pile.
