Actually, mine didn't start with a side of strep, but much worse. A severely infected tounsil that was a candidate for removal if it didn't respond to antibiotics the way it was.
FWIW, I feel absolutely great today! But I'm going to follow doctor's orders. No work. Just resting and building my strength further.
I am definitely on the mend because I worked fairly hard yesterday, including taking numerous phone calls. Phone calls are actually a bit of work for me because I pace the office while talking. I felt pretty weak when I left for home yesterday, but fell asleep early, woke up about 2:00 this morning, nodded back off around 7, woke up again around 9 and feel very healthy and strong.
It's gonna be tough to force myself to take a sabbatical for another week. As you already know, since I've already been dinking with the system. <g>
Well, off to sip tea, watch TV, and wait for my secretary to bring me a whole bunch of those Campbells single-serving soups. Cream of Chicken and Cream of Mushroom. Figure it's about time for me to at least hit semi-solid foods. With calories.
Will also see if I can get a B12 shot early next week. Two separate people who don't know each other (one a local and another an SI'er) have separately recommended I get a B12 shot now and consider getting them semi-frequently from here on out.
Edit: I'd have the wife take me to get the B12 shot today, but believe it or not, she's home with strep. Missed work yesterday and today.
Doctor's office told me yesterday to avoid her as much as possible because even something like strep could be more than I can handle now. |
