chinu. ...."Let me be the idiot to respond to you lorne."....

Why would you refer to yourself as an " idiot "? Belonging to the wrong political party and being on the wrong side of most issues does not make you an idiot. But refusing to accept any legitimate success from a Republican leader of your adopted country is a questionable practice....sour grapes maybe. :-)

You said...."The Iraqis want the US out of their country. Results from Iraq trickling in is certainly pointing in that direction since the Shiites are holding a significant lead over the US installed lackey "Allawi's" party. And what is significant is that Allawi, in spite of being a Shia is not prefered by his own Shiites since they view him not as a Shia but as a US implant."......

chinu. do you really understand that that is exactly how democracy is supposed to work? Allawi was a temporary political leader and was intended to be such until such time that Iraq people would choose a leader...in a DEMOCRATIC vote .... that they...Iraqi's want as their new leader. Somebody had to be leader until their was an election ....don't you think so.

You said...."So this "irrational exuberance" that your post portrays, would certainly be short lived. Remember this lesson, democracy does not speak through the barrel of a gun. It speaks through the hearts and aspirations of the general populace. Bush cannot impose democracy. After all, wasn't it he who said that the US soldiers would be welcomed with flowers by the Iraqis? Are we seeing that?"......

Try and forget Bush for a moment OK.

....."Remember this lesson, democracy does not speak through the barrel of a gun."....

True, But democracy does often speak after gun barrels have removed dictators....ya gotta start somewhere don't you think so.... or is it just because Bush is leading the charge in Iraq that bothers you? :-)

...."It speaks through the hearts and aspirations of the general populace. Bush cannot impose democracy.".....

IMO. Bush is not trying to impose democracy. Near as I can tell there was a free and DEMOCRATIC vote where the general population spoke their mind and as you have said Allawi. may well be removed....DEMOCRACY at work...Right?

The rest of your post only indicates your intense dislike for your President and IMO not worthy of any reply.
