Its Yiddish.......a bastardization of Hebrew and I think German. It means a jerk....a zero. I went to a high school that was half Jewish. <g>

Its german origin is "ornament"..the yiddish use is literally "dick" in pejorative slang. But...the word is SHMUCK, with an H...I was goofing on you.
