Basically it connects the meaning of Jewels (as carried by a woman) with Jewels (as carried by a man...somewhere) or in plain language, a Prick. The male Crown Jewels as applied in its most negative sense.

Believe a book could be written about that actually and it seems to be very similar in so many languages.

Sure Jiddish and German are closely related. Like Ladino and Spanish.
