As a matter of fact, Bill Freeza was on theAirtouch conference call yeaterday. He first asked about # of users on LA system, # of base stations in San Diego for RNC, and how many phones they would issue at RNC. The answer was "several hundred, 4 and 60". He asked a follow up question, about capacity increase over analog in LA, and mentioned that by comparison, he was calling on a CDMA phone from the Trenton NJ system. He went on to say he is very impressed with the quality of the CDMA 13 KB system, and that Atlantic Bell has done a nice job with the system. He said that they are ereporting a 6 fold increase over analaog. The answer to his question was 6 - 10 currently, but they believe that they will hit 20 x analog capacity. Hearing the interview, there were about 10 questions asked, and Bill Frezza was by far the clearest in terms of voice quality!
