No one hopes Europe will fail. But the problem with Europe is that they are playing poker against an opponent that cheats. Europe assumes there is honor in Iran, but there is none. Our adminstration understands that the Iranians are about as duplicitous as Arafat was. So there is hope, but there is no illusion that the Iranian leadership will become honorable overnight.
