fixing prices on gasoline. retail margin @ .12 cents. amazing. back to price fixing.. never worked during gas allocations these politicians are always looking for some thing to get elected.

they will lose the bill to not throw out operators of service stations, to freeze rents, and to not own service stations themselves. I highly doubt supreme court will uphold a bill which takes away a corporations right to run its own property and business the way they see necessary in order to remain in business and be competitive. The rights of operators to stay in stations , grandfathered to their families has been through the courts several times.

I have no idea what margins are required to get a decent profit on the Islands but it will have to be enough to remain in business. In cal. i believe the margins are higher than in other states around .15 cents (per google search). other states (latest ref. was 2002 was around 11.1 cent margins.) are lower as cost of operations overall are lower.

best to leave the market to consumers they will decide where to buy their gasoline.
