What we have here is a failure to communicate.... Cell phone tower installations, nothwithstanding. While you can believe that I'm an anachronism, I'm certain that I am writing in solidarity with the people of Curitiba who appreciate the foresight and wisdom of their city fathers who created the most advanced bus system in the hemisphere, if not the entire planet. I'm speaking in solidarity with the solid majority of Bolvarians who trust Hugo Chavez to negotiate the best possible deal he can with the PDV people egging them on to move into the 21st Century where rapacious American oilmen aren't going to exploit a nation for the gain of a handful of Texans. I'm speaking in solidarity with the people of the Niger Delta who see, correctly, that they are being exploited by a corrupt elite in Lagos. I'm speaking in solidarity with indigenous people everywhere who understand the lesson that is being taught by John Perkins in his tell-all book "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man". Where we differ, is that I've made my money. You are still in the process. And now I can be honest about exploitation and unfair deals. You'll get there. Or, perhaps not....
