predicting lower treasury yields does not sound like Russ at all.
In fact, if you look close enough the scenario described sounds more like what I have been preaching for quite some time.

The FED will pause which will cause gold to go up.
Long term rates will head lower over time.
New lows in yield.
Japan may stop buying treasuries but US demand will pick up.

I do not consider that environment to be stagflationary however.
If capital is destroyed, and I think it will be, the environment will be deflationary.

On the whole the scenario is very plausible to me but I will bet you that Russ has major problems with a lot of it.
