No one said that the Iraqis shouldn't be free. We just don't want to pay for it in American lives and money.

And I don't think I'd even go that far... I just don't want to be paying for it in American lives and money if I don't think we're on the right track to achieving it and I doubt whether we could achieve it. I have a problem with throwing American lives and money down a hole.

I understand but what I've learned is that you can't move too quickly with the OTHERS. After all, Mr. Bush told them that democracy in Iraq is doable and we are just the people to pull it off. Forget that Bush had rarely been outside this country before he was president, and he can't even spell foreign diplomacy.....nonetheless, they bought his BS hook, line and sinker.

Telling them that you don't want to pay for it AND that that its not doable, only confuses them. And when they get confused, they become angry. But telling them that you don't want to pay for it esp. the money part.........now they understand that concept very well. Remember, many of them still believe there are WMDs in Iraq. Whatever Bush says they believe no matter what.

Talk money and you will have a much more receptive audience. ;~)
