The students haven't been educated like we were...........we had Vietnam to educate us the old fashioned way,that is, by experiencing it. Kids today are taught facts and numbers and not how to think. They cram to take tests to pass them. My son had a great debate teacher that was tossed out the next year for doing controversial things. His job was to create controversy so tha the students could react to it by THINKING!!! My son's English teacher said he was one of two critical thinkers she had in her classes...........there are over 600 kids in each grade in that high school!!!! It's sad!
