BOST was more transparent because the debt was priced so low, 7 cents on the dollar for junior debt quite a while before they finally filed, if I remember correctly. The day when they would file was known a long time in advance. KKD doesn't seem to be such a basket case, just running out of places to open new stores in. My local one is the Taj Mahal of donut shops.
