Kyros. The only looming competitor to the USA is It and the allegiance to It that millions and soon billions of people will feel. This might well be considered the second coming = a universal synchronicity of humans integrated with a burgeoning extrasomatic super-mind. An alternative is a reconstituted UN, which isn't showing much signs of happening as it will require large scale political will instead of tribalistic, territorial, megalomaniacal nationalism. China is a pretender to the throne but has more attitude than ability. The other 5 billion people won't be too keen to be ruled by the rulers of China's 1 billion. My bet is on We The Sheeple + It.
