U.S. Says Iran Atom Bomb Years Away, Tehran Defiant

--------------------------------------------------

Both Neocons and Israel have known very well that the time is not on their side on the Iran nuclear issue. And they also aware that the wild card is Iran might get secrete helps from N Korea or Pakistan at some point to greatly speed up its nuclear weapon program, so it might not need years to get the bomb.

But now the US says Iran atom bomb still years away and support negotiation at this juncture, further proves that the US neocons do not want to attack Iran nuclear sites due to too much risks rather than feeling un-urgent. The neocons’ unwilling and passive move on this issue is just Israel’s nightmare. Israel is unwilling to attack Iran’s nuclear sites by itself either, because the risks would be even greater for itself if it did so.

The other possibility is Israel and US are preparing for a surprise attack. But this possibility is very slim, IMO, because a surprise attack would not reduce the existing political and military risks. And Iran is well prepared to fire back any time.
