Sparky,

Your message prompted me to review the stocks I have grouped together
and followed for the last few months to review their performance.
Remember, this is a "quick and dirty" exercise. I made the following
table of the hotter performing stocks. I did not use "closing
prices" in all cases, but prices that were achieved during the
trading session.

PERCENT
SYMBOL PRICE DATE PRICE DATE CHANGE
REAL 8 3/21 35 8/15 338
CMOS 15 4/25 52 8/22 247
VECO 24 4/25 65 9/2 171
ADEX 17 5/2 45 8/29 165
PRIA 22 4/25 58 8/15 164
ETEC 28 4/25 69 9/2 146
NVLS 50 4/18 120 8/29 140
SFAM 24 5/2 56 9/2 133
KLIC 23 3/14 52 8/22 126
PLAB 29 3/21 64 8/22 121
TER 26 5/13 57 9/2 119
KLAC 35 3/21 76 8/22 117
HELX 32 5/2 66 8/22 106
NANO 7 7/11 14 9/2 100

Based on the above, I would say we have been in a tremendous
"momentum" stock market the last 3 to 4 months. Never say never
about the stock market, but I find it hard to believe these stocks
will have this kind of performance in the next 3 to 4 months. I
would rather go with a stock like FSII or UTEK that can still achieve
that kind of performance with a good earnings report.

I can't say we will get that good performance report with FSII this
quarter, but it should come at some point. To me the company has
the same basic capability as the ones in the table. They are just
slower at showing it.

Regards,

Don W.
