Why do we allow the Supreme Court to dictate what we teach our children but not (yet) what we print in newspapers?

Because there is no scientific evidence of creation. Hence, teaching creation is teaching religion.

It's ok to teach creation in religious schools. They certainly teach creation in Catholic* schools, schools run by some subsets of Judaism, Baptist schools, Muslim schools, etc.

But for government run schools, the rule is separation of church and state.

Newspapers are not printed by the government - at least, not the newspapers I think you are talking about.

I thought I had clarified the difference between state action and private action for you. You seem to be confused again.

(* Theistic evolution is actually what they teach in Catholic schools these days, that God created the Universe but that life evolves according to scientific principles.)
