Do you think the rulers of Burma, N. Korea, Congo, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Nigeria, Argentina, Belarus, Paraguay etc etc etc etc etc serves in the interest of their people? What makes Iran so special in a sea of similar nations?

Not sure what your point is here. If there are many "problematic" governments in the world that is not a reason to do nothing. If you agree that Iranian government is in the category that we can call "in need of outside reform", then efforts should be made to make them change. Just because Sudan is also "in need of outside refor" is no reason to do nothing about Iran.

I see.....Iran arbitrarily was picked in our crusade to reform the world. Sorry, dude, I don't pay taxes for my gov't to act as reformer........the normal gov't services will do. Not only is that out of line, its a bit demented.

When did someone not liking us justify attacking them?

Well the justification comes if you can convince yourself that the benefits and costs of "attacking them" outweigh the benefits and costs of doing nothing (or doing something else). I don't know if that is the case with Iran, but if it is (if the planet would be better off if Iran became "the next Iraq"), then we should. If not, we shouldn't.

And how in God's name do you propose to come to a decision? I don't think due process will work. And really a national vote would be a difficult way to go. Why not let Bush decide?

Since we know there are many countries that the planet would be better off without, why not suspend our gov'tal institutions like Congress and the Supreme Ct........they are such a financial drain......and free up as much money so Bush can go around the planet reforming those gov'ts that need reforming. We can rename his office....president infinitum.......he'll have permanent tenure. We no longer will have responsibilities as citizens. We will become worker drones supplying the earnings for the greatest reformation in the history of the world. And every month, there will be a superbowl, featuring the latest military equipment we are using to promote such 'reform'.
