That is a disgusting practice and has to be exposed as much as possible.. And they call themselves "sportsmen" ambushing half tame, fenced in animals at water holes and feed stations, no less. :( ..Terrible. It seems like mostly a Texas deal though. Anyway, that's where I always read about it happening. I have railed about this before on SI along with 'cockfighting'..

BTW, I saw news accounts last week of some nut case legislator in Oklahoma wanting to reinstate cockfighting in that state by putting boxing gloves on. Can you believe it? The real thing was just banned in 2002, I think. The New Yorker magazine had quite an article on it about 4-5 years ago.
