I can see with my own eyes that the CBS/TANG documents were produced on a computer using Microsoft Word.

Can you see where the text file came from that was printed from a computer using Microsoft Word? Can you see how and where that textfile originated?

If it was reprinted from an original file, would that make a difference?

In any case, there has to be an audit trail. Who handed the documents over. Where did they get the document?

The secretary said the document didn't come from her office. We believe her.

She said the words on the document were her bosses known sentiments. A lot of people would not want to believe her on that.

In any case, Dan Rather should not have ran with the story.

But CBS should do a better job investigating its own mistake. Get to the bottom of it - find the perpetrator.
